As of this morning, there is a "THIRD ADMISSABLE" mailing.
It includes an R-Day packing list and a 15page (!!) Security form
that can be filled and emailed directly online, or handwritten and mailed.

All the way at the bottom there is also a "Dental Letter and Screening Form"
that is "not available" yet.

Yes but the new link to the dental form is still the same form candidates should have received with the dental info packet. I remember filling it out months ago. Maybe it's for recent appointees?

Wow has anyone looked at the Security Form? Is this the kinda paperwork I get to look forward to on R-Day?

Your security clearance forms will be some of the most important and detailed you will have to fill out throughout your military career. I'd highly recommend making both paper and digital copies of them and keeping them in a safe place. You will have to fill out a new one every five years and if the information needs to be repeated it should be exactly the same.

Also get yourself a small notebook or data file (once again I'd include both) and keep a detailed record of any job you have, and any place you live to the day. You'll be expected to provide this information for even short term assignments, and the more accurate you can be the better off you are. This file will also be helpful if you ever apply for a civilain government job some time in your future.

Will do thank you very much for the advice!

What if you have done a year of college? Does your college count as a place you have lived?

You're welcome. One thing I forgot to mention concerns the addresses. It's the physical address, not the postal one, that's required. So be sure to record things like building names/numbers, and room numbers. It might seem trivial, but it's helpful in the long run.

Exactly, they'll want that instead of your parents' address even though the later may be your legal/home address. I didn't actually enter the military until going to OCS after teaching middle school for one year. I had to show going back and forth from my parents' home to the three different dorm rooms (I had the same one jr and sr year) for each of my four undergrad years. Then the back and forth, for the year I taught, from M&D's, to the apartment I lived in, and then M&D's again. That's why I recommend starting to keep these records carefully now. It makes things much easier.

They are looking at your behavior throughout the period they investigate, so they need to know where you were physically located and when to do that.

The way I understand it, these forms are to receive our "Secret" Clearance. We will receive the next level of clearance sometime around the end of plebe year, which will be "Top Secret" correct?

No, you will receive your clearance when it is needed, near graduation. Top secret is not until you need that, around company command.

Will we all receive top secret? Or will it depend on what branch you go into?

I have just paradropped here - this "clearence" you guys are talking about, is it the same you will need at the Intelligence (I think) and SOF schools in the Army? Or something completely unrelated?

It's all part of one system. You'll get what you need as you need it, based on eligibility of course.

That dental form is the same one that must be submitted to get the "dental" icon to turn green. Why they sent the form a second time is a mystery to me.
