Does anyone have a lead yet for the running shorts for indoc? I haven't been able to find the "Navy Blue, 7 inch Inseam" shorts.

Any online stores selling them? Link?

Thanks

Epic sports dot com has them. I think under soccer maybe BB. I got the 7" navy shorts and the crew socks from them

Target or Wal-Mart- don't spend a lot of money on them- as soon as they are issued their PT gear they will only wear that. Send extra stuff also they will be changing clothes several times a day- and if this summer is anything like last summer- hot hot hot and humid! Best of luck to all!

i wouldn't put to much effort into finding the exact length. T-day 0 we were issued i think 4 pair of athletic shorts which was more than enough. You start off weating BDU's most of the time but towards the end of INDOC you wear shorts more often. I don'y know if this was because of the summer weather but it certainly made those 2 minuted uniform changes very easy!

do they actually measure for the 7" seam? i bought some a while ago thinking i would be ahead of the game and they ended up being 8"

they won't measure your shorts, I promise. I was a DI, and as long as they are dark blue and look like normal mesh-ish shorts, you will be fine.

Champion blue mesh 7" shorts ( looks like 7") Sams Club $9.98 a pair. They were not even out of thebox but I spied them while pondering anoher purchase. Pulled ou the box and opened it and Yay! It is just what we need! Run to your Sams and root around in the understock , maybe not even put out yet! I found it under a table of ladies summer shirts. I bet this s how hunters feel when they bag a long sought after beast! And yes I bought the other items, 300 worth. I hate SAMs club! Tip: try not to look at anything else or you too will have new patio furniture!

What about the blue mesh shorts that are in the school store? They do have the USMMA logo on it though, not sure if that's ok.

why I am not a carpenter ( rim shot ). Ugh! 9" inseam! But since the brand is Champion I will research and get back, dang it. I am keepin the patio furniture!

Found "7 inch" Blue Shorts at Walmart....Starter Brand, $8.00 :shake:

My question is t-shirts....do you buy the t-shirts in the pack....thinner material or separate t-shirts (not meant for under shirts)?????

Don't get so uptight about this sort of stuff; if some DI measures and says they are too long just tell them you didn't measure them, you just bought the shortest pair you could find that didn't result in you exposing your junk. It might mean a few more pushups and unwanted attention at a few Plebe Beats during Indoc, but your "rep" will be made and safe for the rest of the next four years.

Where is the "like" button.

We are less than 60 days away from the new class reporting. This "sweat in' the small stuff' is ALL I can do. I would quit if I wasn't enjoying it.

T-shirts- I just bought "Hanes" brand. 5 in a pack. Have DS/DD try them on before you go and buy lots.... you want them to fit- not baggy- remember once they are issued uniforms the neck must lay flat to skin. Also buy cheap- because all the laundry going in the machine together no matter what color it is..... I understand that the person on night watch gets to do the laundry :) Also buy several pair of compression shorts black and white- summer uniforms are white! I'd again get cheap ones and bring the better ones during parents weekend! Wow- all this chatter about buying stuff is bringing back some memories for me..... Enjoy!

Make the T-shirts tight

To echo what ProudMom2014 said, our DS had us send new T-shirts last year. We had purchased T's in his usual size to send along at Indoc, but he needed them to be a size or two smaller than usual so they would stay tight around the neck when in summer whites.

Best of luck to you, class of 2015!

Just a thought on t-shirts. Our DS requested one size smaller t-shirts during Indoc. He said the collar looked better on his neck (no bacon collar) with his uniforms. Some DI were giving kids grief on the the bacon collar.

Remember stay under the radar!

Just my 2 cents
