As a child I was diagnosed as allergic to penicillin, Im not aware as how my body will react to it now. Is such an allergy disqualifying from an appointment or an ROTC scholarship?

Same problem here. Should I get tested to see if I'm still allergic? I have heard that sometimes babies are allergic to penicillin and then grow out of it.

I have a penicillin allergy and I passed DoDMERB easily.

Did they ask you during the examination? or even mention it. And yes i was allergic to it as a baby or so my parents told me but idk how I stand right now with that allergy.

I know I am bringing this thread out of nowhere, but I got tested for my previous allergy, and tested negative.
The doctor said nearly all people who were once allergic to a -cillin (penicillin, amoxicillin) grow out of it after 5-10 years (cannot remember exact length of time). I got tested just so I wouldn't need to write it on all the forms anymore, and so that I could use a -cillin if need be.
