like online they have an application, can i do this if i haven't received a nomination yet? and also on this application it asks if i want early decision, what is this? thanks

1. yes you can apply before you receive a nomination, this is the good thing to do!

2. early decision means if you turn it in early enough and before the date that is says, then they will give you a decision early, most likely before you receive a nomination

In most cases "early decision" means if you are accepted there then you must go there also. It is a commitment to that school. Many colleges have that option. If you apply ED and are accepted then you are expected to follow through.

you can apply when ever they start accepting, or wait to get your scores 3 weeks from now. yes, you will be able to update you scores, as long as the board has not went over your app

from your SAT scores now, im pretty sure you meet the minimums but def strive for way way way more than that! try to get your math and critical reading above 600, they dont look at the writing i dont think

Get the application process started, the essays, CFA,DODMERB and reccomondations all take time. If I rememebr correctly the MOC's want their applictions completed by late Sept, early Oct. Your HS also needs time to process your transcripts..get started and best of everything

You also should keep in mind that the information that you need from your HS will need to be requested over the summer break. Speak to your guidance department before the end of the school year so that you can arrange this.

The best way to think about the process is that you have to complete four things to get an appointment, they are independent of one another so you can do them at any time you want. Once you get all four done, you're in!

DODmerb- Physical Exam
CFA- Physical Fitness
Application- The part I, II, III thing and your recommendations
Nomination- Member of Congress or Senate

The one caveat is that once you complete your application and are accepted (which is the hardest part) KP will send you a letter letting you know that you're "conditionally" accepted pending the completion of whatever else you haven't done on the list. The acceptance is the hardest thing to come by so once you get that letter the rest tends to fall in to place.
