Triathlon at VMI

I was wondering if anyone had information about the triathlon club/team at VMI, other than what is on the VMI website. It looks like a neat club, and I'd love do triathlons at VMI. Does anyone know what the training regimen is like or what types of tri's they do (sprint, Ironman 70.3, or full Ironman)? Also, can Rats participate in the triathlon club or in the marathon club?

I see they have a Face book page for anyone with questions
 
Thanks, i'll check it out. I don't have a Facebook, but it still has some good info on it.
 
I don't believe they do anything longer than Olympic distance. The Regimental Commander year before last qualified for the NCAA's, which is the standard Olympic distance race. I believe Rats cannot participate, but after Breakout you can. Don't quote me completely on that, but it's what I've been told.
 
My understanding echos bird's - no formal sport participation until after breakout - so that means that the first semester is RAT and academics. Bruno hopefully will pop on soon and clarify. larrys mom
