Hello! If you enlisted in the Army and served until your contract expired and you want to become an officer, do you have to be chosen? Or can you say that you want to become an officer and you can try and become one?

Is there a specific program?

I am just confused on this, and I couldn't really find my answer anywhere..

If you are out, honorable discharge, you can go the college/ROTC route and commission. Pick you favorite University and talk to the PMS there. If you are IRR, I have no idea...Ask Major Toth, "Clarksonarmy" is the ROO at Clarkson University and they do a lot of Green-2-Gold scholarships, I would shoot him an email, he will be the man to ask.

Would like to know what you learn,
Good Luck
