I applied to Summer Seminar but was not accepted. Later, I received a letter saying that I was a Candidate for the Classe of 2016 and was given a website to visit. It was the application site, and my question is, should I do anything on that site, or just wait because I already have a file from SS?

If it's the actual "Application Site", then that's what you need to fill out. Or, is it the pre-cadidate?

I am not really sure, it asks just about everything from test scores to job experience so I am guessing it is a pre candidate questionnaire? If it is, then I have begun it but have not submitted it. If that's the case, should I just leave it alone?

I thought if you applied to summer seminar, even if you weren't chosen, that application counted as your pre-candidate questionnaire. Does it say "Online Application Status" for the class of 2016 at the top? Does it have categories including Application Status, Personal Information, Nomination Status, Medical Status, etc. and then a section with Required Forms (USAFA Form 148--Request for Secondary School Transcript, etc.)? If it has all that, then I would say its the actual application you need to be working on. If it still references Summer Seminar, then you probably need to complete the application to get to the next step. Best way to find out is to call the AFA contact listed somewhere near the top of the application and ask them.

yeah, at the top of the page it says Online Application Class of 2016. It does not reference SS and does not have tabs for medical, nominations, etc. I'll just call and get it squared away

rayquad - let us know what you find out. DS is in same situation and was going to call this week.

Earlier today I was in the same situation. All I could access was the PCQ. Then this afternoon I called and left a message with my assigned USAFA Counselor informing him that my application had not opened yet. I just checked the PCQ page again. Not much had changed, except there was a new box at the top of the page called "your mailbox". In that box, there was a message saying, "Your Application has been reviewed. Please open the attached letter for details". I opened the attachement, and inside it was a digital letter addressed to me similar to the one they sent me in April telling me I wasn't competetive, except this one said my PCQ shows I have potential for admission, and they will be sending me application instructions in a few weeks. So, in a nutshell, there's not much you can do. Just be patient and wait for your application to open up.

okay I did apply to summer seminar and went, but when I went on that page I put in my information and they already had a file open for me. I updated it then I submitted it and today I got the same letter in my mailbox!

I have that "mailbox" icon on my app page too, but I can't get into it - it states "504 Server Error" Anyone else have that problem?

No, but don't worry about it. It's just a letter stating that you're now a candidate. The link to the actual application site isn't in it

I emailed an admissions rep and she said that if I applied to SS, whether accepted or not, they have my file on record and that I should do nothing until I receive correspondence from USAFA (which should be withing a few weeks)
