I've read somewhere that
"Serious applicants should have all of their information sent by August 1st." With my portal open, I understand that I must complete a candidate fitness assessment. If everyone is on summerbreak, where is a good place I could take the test? I live in Southern California. Who should I contact?

Your MALO, your P.E. teacher (must be someone qualified - coaches normally aren't), JROTC/ROTC Officer, U.S. Army Officer...

If you look into the candidate portal, there is a "CFA information" (link on the portal) that has a section about who can administer the test, if I am not mistaken.

What I'm doing is when I get home in Sept I will find an area that will support all six events within a relatively short distance IE: high school, YMCA and contacting the recruiting station nearby to see if an Officer in the region would be able to proctor the test.

To Stealth and BillSL, is it possible for the Admissions Team to give LOAs without the CFA accounted for?:thumb:

Beware of asking other candidates how admissions worse.

The answer is yes, they can. Do they? Rarely. RCs will issue LOAs for exceptional candidates without a CFA. Those candidates are generally either outstanding academic performers (sky high standardized test scores, class rank, etc.) or recruited athletes. It is rare to get an LOA without a complete file. Not impossible, but rare.

As I've said many times...candidates focus WAY too much on LOAs.

Yes, scoutpilot is right, LOAs that go out for people without there CFA done are often times outstanding academically or recruited athletes. If I am not mistaken they put down the August 1 date because the first time the admissions board sits down to look at candidates is in August. The sooner you get your stuff done the better.

The big point for candidates is finish your file as early as possible. The early completion gets you the answer your seeking.
