I applied to west point last year but was medically dq-ed because i took concerta, a drug for ADD, until sept of my senior year. i decided to reapply this year but i've already been dq-ed even though west point's website says its not disqualifying as long as you have been off the medication for a year before R-DAY. What do I do since this is clearly not consistent with the rules?

I thank you all for the honor and privilege of serving. I will remain as the Deputy Director, DoDMERB:thumb::thumb::thumb:

nelson - Yep, give Dodmerb a call. You may have to submit records and plan on writing a letter to Dodmerb noting when you stopped taking the medication and how it has or has not affected you. If you did exceptionally well academically in your senior year, despite having been off the medication please note that as well.
Good luck this year!

#3 and #6 might be in play here.

If you used the medication for over 2 years after age 14, you were probably DQd for this, but, if your are a good candidate for admission, West Point could ask for a waiver evaluation.
