I just got back from vacation and got a letter from Concordesaying that 35 days ago I was approved to begin the medical qualification process and that it all needed to be done withing 45 days of approval. This letter is dated the 4th and I just got it so that would be 45 days. It says I was sent an information packet 35 days ago with instructions and a list of the providers I am required to see. I never recieved these intructions or a list of providers. I'm pretty confused especially since the portal says we have to have 3/5 of the things done before we will be ocntacted by DoDMERB. One part of the letter states "To comply with program requirments, please schedule all appointments ASAP and report to us within 15 days. Otherwise, a final notice will be sent out after which you authorization will be withdrawn" If I call tomorrow will they extend the time period for me? Also has anyone else had this problem?:confused::confused:

Hi!

Typically they send an e-mail...but...to your question: call tomorrow, explain to them, and schedule...it'll be okay.

Thanks. I called them today and they told me to just go to the dodmets website and schedule my appointments and it'd be kept open.

I had a question for anyone who can answer. I started the application for USAFA but I have not received any letter from DoDMERB yet. I have applied for the past 2 years so I don't know if my physical from last year was carried over or what.

By 'applied for the past two years' do you mean that this is your third time applying?

If so, then you'll have to redo your DoDMERB checkup - they're valid for two years (ie. if you reapply after the first QNV letter you don't have to redo the medicals since that'll be carried forward; if you're reapplying for the second time you'll have to retake it).

You have to be deemed a 'candidate' for Admissions to send you a DoDMERB request - starting the application ie. being a prospect/applicant is too early to expect it.

I would also check on this. As stated it is valid for 2 yrs., and if you took it in Sept. it is still valid to them, HOWEVER, it will not be valid by the time of apptmts.

It maybe just a glitch in the system due to the date you took it 2 yrs ago.

I took the DoDMERB last year as well because I didn't know it would carry over so since it was in August of last year would it be valid for this year?

And in reference to my online application, it says that I am a Candidate. Maybe it's just slow because everything else seems to be going slow this year.
