Yesterday i got a letter from west point inviting one parent and I to an all expense paid trip to visit West point. I am so excited to eat in the mess hall and do some activities with the cadets. Anyone know if they will be one of the cadet escorts september 29th through october2nd?

Excited to eat in the mess hall??? The food here really isn't anything special.
I am signed up to be a cadet escort, but I'm not sure when.

The only types of expense free weekends like the one the OP described that I have heard of have been for recruited athletes or minority outreach. So if you contact your future coach or the minorities outreach officer (whichever applies to you) they would probably be able to link you up with an escort before hand to get in touch.
The food may not be impressive but the actual Mess Hall is, especially the first time you go inside with the entire Corps.

I agree. It is spectacular. All the flags, the poop deck, the red ceiling. It really is quite a sight.
