Submitting a Nom package to a MOC who is known to refuse to give one out if an applicant already has one?

I've heard this about one of our MOCs. I've sent packages out to everyone else and we've received a Presidential already (not a clincher by any means) but I've been holding off on doing the extra work with this last one. I've been told by several families who've already gone through the process last year and have sent kids to the SA's not to bother with this one if you already have a nom (he asks first thing in interviews).

This view was reinforced by an O6 (ret) I met at a conference this week whose boy is at WP. He said the same thing - "don't bother". His son received 2 of 3 MOCs and a Presidential. The PN was enough in the end but the MOC in question declined to give his son a place on his slate since he already had a Presidential.

Question: Should I bother? We've submitted for every other one so far.

Thanks

Yes, do it. I was told I wouldn't get my Rep (I had a Senate one) and to refrain from even going to the interview. They still gave me another nomination anyway. Go for it.

Definitely apply. While it may be true that some MOC don't give nom if they received one already, they normally mean from another MOC. Considering most mocs don't do interviews or give moles until around December, you could be his or nom. Presidential mind are a different category, and I doubt he knows you even have that yet. Unless u tell him. Bottom line. It isn't that much extra effort, and I guaranty you 100% you won't get a nom from him if you don't apply. So your odds are already better just by applying.

We'll do it. Thanks for the input folks!
