This is all very new to me. I have made an appointment with the recommended optometrist. My current situation is that I have been wearing night time corrective contact lenses since I was nine, and I am wondering what do I do? I have around 300 vision if I don't wear them and it says I should remove it three weeks before my appointment? edit- I wear them to correct being near-sighted.

Here is a link to a previous discussion on the subject. Be aware that hard corrective lenses such as Ortho-K must be discontinued for 90 days prior to your eye exam so that the eye returns to "normal". You can either use glasses or switch to soft contacts and then leave those out for the recommended amount of time before the exam.

Wow, now instead of the initial three weeks I thought, it's going to be a rough three months. Thanks for the response.:frown:

What is the recommended amount of time before the exam I should refrain from wearing soft contact lenses?

If you have started filling out the medical history it asks how long you've had them out for and one option is 3-21 days. Maybe thats where you saw it lol. And no problem.
