You made mention of "competitive state". Could you please let us know how that relates to NROTC please. What states are competitive states? Thank you!!
At least for AROTC, states could be considered competive if an IS school has a top notch battalion and a lot of IS seniors apply for scholarships to that school. Makes it harder more competitive is you're OOS, especially in these tight budget times. At DS's school, of the new cadets that got scholarships from CC, he is the only OOS and it's a 3Y AD, the IS ones got either 4Y or 3Y AD.
