Orlando Gotay Resigns

Ndog, interesting. So why this article now? Although after reading it I see how the kid was a real slacker. Anyway I thought after all
the rumors and whispering about fraternization that we were done with it. What am I missing? Okay, shot in the dark here. Does this have anything to do with an anonymous letter? This was one of the main players involved in the dismissal of Adm Greene. I find it very interesting that he suddenly resigns and felt that it would be of interest to others on this forum.

Thanks, we appreciate it but there has already been extensive posting on the subject in general, including Mr. Gotay's "resignation".

What I think should be questioned and of interest to KP is why was David Mund involved in Orlando Gotay's meetings with the students in Mund's apartment on campus?

GG2TB and KP Alumni on GCaptain's blog titled "Kings Point Superintendent Reassigned..." #8 and #9 threads had some very strong accusations against David Mund. Is it true? Is this going to be investigated? Was Orlando Gatay the only one that Mund was servicing in MARAD and Washington? Is Mund the only one of the administration at KP involved? Is there an investigation to get to the bottom of this, for the sake of the midshipmen and to clear David Mund's name if it is not true? Are there current students or alumni with first hand information that could enlighten what has been happening?

Also already extensively covered in another thread AND portions of it removed by the moderator. Gotay didn't recently resign, that happened in September. Currently we are all working together with the Alumni Assoc. and the Parent's Assoc. promoting a positive campaign to find the next Super. This is all water under the bridge. I agree with KPEngineer, let's move on already. Please take this discussion to another forum.

Investigation

I agree with Sealawyer that some investigative work needs to be done to find out what is really happening at KP. I am doubtful that it is mere coincidence that Gotay resigned the week before Admiral Greene was reassigned. While it is important to move forward in a positive manner and for KP to have a new Supe. sooner rather than later, history ignored, well....

As many have noted: this is pretty old news at this point and will do nothing to advance the collegiality of this board. In that mind I will close this thread for further discussion.
