Hello all.

I haven't recieved word that I am triple qualified yet for the USMA c/o 2016. My physical was completed and submitted in August via DoDMERB, I passed my CFT last week (the portal is updated), and I have not had my nomination interview yet.

Am I missing something to become 3Q'ed? I haven't completed all 3 of my essays on the portal either. Is this why?

Thanks!

so far you are 1 Qed (CFT).

You might double check with DoDMERB as you should have received a letter for DoDMERB about your medical status. This will be the 2nd Q.

Lastly, when you complete your application, than the RC will review the file and determined your academic qualfication. This will be the 3rd Q.

So technically I am 2 Q'ed because I have already recieved the letter from DoDMERB a few months back. Thanks a lot!

one more things, sometimes West Point won't send you a letter saying you are 3Qed. So don't make any big deal out of getting a letter or not getting letter about your qualification.

Do this NOW - get EVERY Red Icon on your Portal turned Green - then you will have done everything you can do.
I assure you that it is a BIG advantage to get ALL of your requirements completed early. Each year there are many fine candidates who do not get in because they were late in getting their application (all Green Icons) completed.

In early Dec last year an Admissions rep commented they would start closing incomplete apps who were not in contact with USMA about their appl. (IE: extenuating circumstances)

With a heavy undercurrent of considering that as lack of interest in USMA with reduced offs of appointment. There is no good reason to delay at this point in the process!!!

I couldn't agree more. I must say that the one reason I was accepted already was not because of my success but simply how fast I completed my file.

All green across the board! Nomination interview Saturday, let's see how I do!

Just recieved word from my regional commander that they do not have my latest transcripts. My school is sending them out tomorrow via "snail mail" (the old fashioned way), so hopefully they get it soon! Besides that and the interview, time to play the waiting game, and hopefully win.

A trick we learned that saved us at least two times was to go ahead and request sealed paper copies of the transcript to have on hand ahead of time.

There is usually a nominal fee ($2), but it allows you to avoid a fire drill if someone loses one. Or uncertainty whether your counselor actually sent it in time.

When we found out how easy it was, we just went ahead and requested 4-5 copies which we used for the MOC nom apps, a backup school app, and one to keep on hand.
