4-yr NROTC scholarship apps for Fall 2009 are up

Yes, my son started on it last night. The one frustrating thing is that, while you can save the application and come back to it, it does not allow you to move on to another page if you have not completed everything on the current page. For instance, my son figured he would come back to the part where you need to explain in 1,000 characters or less why a give school is your first choice. He thought that would take some time and he wants to word it well. However, he cannot move to the next page without completing it.

Oh well, I guess that's a small complaint.

you can put placeholders, but you should be aware of a big problem. the moment you save anything, even if it is not officially submitted, the recruiter will see it. my recruiter not only saw the stuff i put in, but started to contact my teachers without letting me know first. the problem was, i wanted to change one of my teachers (for recommendations), but i discovered it was too late! the recruiter had already solicited recommendations without me all because i put in some placeholders on the recommendations page. I wrote something about this here:

by the way, i was told by my recruiter that that the reason you choose your first choice school doesn't matter. but i put in a good reason anyways.

I've also sent you a PM
