Hello. I am new to the service academy forums, and I've been on here about two weeks and this is my first post. I just wanted to tell you guys a little bit about me and my achievements / goals, and get your perspective on where i measure up to the rest of the applicants. Thanks!

I am a Junior in a private College Prep school in North Carolina. So far throughout my highschool career I have had a 4.0 gpa freshman and sophomore year, with some honors classes mixed in. This year I have a 3.8 gpa, but I am taking AP Chemistry, AP Calculus AB, and Honors Physics, along with an english class, Latin 3, and US History. This past summer I took pre-calc / trig, and then got put into the AP calc class. I am also in Service club, and in the National Honors Society. I have been a soccer referee since I was 14, and I am a certified advance scuba diver(max depth 195ft). I am the captain of my varsity soccer team, and got defensive MVP. I have been playing club soccer at a regional and national competitive level, but I am not that interested in playing in college. My interest is to become a Pilot. I had 20/10 vision when I was 10 (not sure if it changed since then). I've never had a detention, traffic ticket, etc. I am sorry for the long post, but I just want to see where I measure up to all the people on here. I am also interested in the Airforce Academy, but the Naval Academy is my #1 choice. Thanks so much!

Dang! Someone with better vision than me! I have 20/13 vision. :thumb:

You seem to have some really nice leadership positions, good grades, and you're very active. I think the only things you're missing are your ACT or SAT scores.

oh i forgot to post the SAT scores. Keep in mind that I didn't study for one second, and I kind of took this as a joke (i know that is bad haha). I got 640 on the english. 600 on Math. I am taking a SAT prep course January, then I am taking it again. I am also taking the ACT in March. Thanks so much for the input!

You're on your way. Keep working hard, especially with those scores. You might want to try some sort of group that focuses on writing or speaking (newspaper, drama, debate). Just my two cents, for well-roundedness' sake. You're doing just fine. Just know that you can always do better!

Thanks :) It didn't help that I had Senioritus for the first quarter of the year haha, as a Junior! I will be taking this next SAT much more seriously, actually preparing for it ;) Thank you for the input!
