Thought I might as well start this thread :biggrin: This is for anyone who has been accepted to the 2012 AFA Summer Seminar. We can get to know each other a bit, see which sessions we're attending etc.

As for me, My name is Ryan, I'm from Florida, and I'll probably be attending Session B, not sure yet. Congrats to anyone who can post that they've been accepted, its one step to a long journey :thumb:

They haven't even processed my application yet, and I put it in the first day!

Got my acceptance letter, look forward to joining you guys this summer! The acceptance application on the website is still down so no one can actually reserve a spot (apparently summer seminar happens in 1899? lol). When it's back on line I think I'm going to go with session A.

I have the same problem hahaha, I was so confused when I saw it. And I was surprised at the speed they processed my application. Got the email this morning and flipped out :shake:
 
Congratulations to the both of you. I haven't submitted my application yet because I need to have it checked. I should be ready by tomorrow sometime, so it will be a week or so before I know.

What were your credentials that you submitted? Basically can you post your academics, leadership, and ec's?

Yeah, they pretty much just ask for contact info, academic stats, a resume, and a couple of questionnaire questions.

I know. I'm already finished with mine, but I was wondering if you could post your stats, so that I could compare.

Hey everyone, my name is Ryan as well, I just got the email saying I was accepted, and yes, the dates are not showing up, only 1899 which I'm guess they having some technical issues. Otherwise, congratulations to those who also were accepted and good luck to those who submitted their applications!! Hope to see everyone there!!! :smile:
 
Congratulations to all of you and good luck to those who havent heard yet! I attended last year (session c) and had the most fantastic time. I would love to answer, to the best of my ability, any questions anyone has, because I know I had a million last year. Again congratulations, its a great experience and a wonderful opportunity to really evaluate if the academy is the right thing for you. :thumb:

Confusion

Okay, now the website says my application is "under consideration" after I've been accepted. I'm severely confused as to what is going on now :confused: I hope they don't start rejecting applications after getting people excited like that.

The website is sometimes behind the power curve, my son was promoted to "Candidate" for appointment 10 days before the USAFA Status Page reflected the change.

Hey guys! My name is Jexenia, I'm from Algonquin, Illinois (a norhtwest suburb of Chicago). I sent my application in the first day and I found out yesterday that I was accepted. I will probably be attending Session B.:biggrin:

The dates are finally up, I think I might attend Session C because the week before is SLS for my Corps.
