Interesting profile in the Richmond Times Dispatch of several VMI cadets who have returned to the Corps after deploying. Good read- I salute these guys
"Returning vets receive respect from their fellow cadets, but no special privileges. They still have to shine their shoes and stand at attention for long stretches and do all of the sorts of things that make VMI different from most other places (and give cadets something to complain about). It requires fortitude not just to leave VMI and go to war but also to come back."

If say you enlist right after high school, but plan to go to VMI, would it be possible to do it in the same school year without too much hassel?

Good read, I always enjoy reading about these sorts of things and always wonder about how different people are with handling these kinds of dramatic changes in life. Some are good, some aren't as lucky.

I don't quite understand your question.
Natty guard or reserves, maybe. There are quite a few here, mostly Natty guard and couple Marine reservists.
