Is anyone else having this problem?
My son is having problems getting a response from Admissions. He is torn between being seen as a squeaky wheel and making sure his file is complete and a question is answered.
There are several issues that he is concerned about and he thought it was a good idea to contact admissions...and I agreed. Better safe than sorry. He first addressed this board and Objee suggested he contact his AO. He has, on at least four occasions e-mailed his AO about this and she either doesn't answer or (once) her four word response made it obvious that she hadn't read his question. So then he called the Admissions office directly and when no one answered he left a message and hasn't gotten a response for more than a week. So then he called his AP who now reports that the AO doesn't return his calls either.
We know that the Admissions office is very very busy and that the AO has many collateral duties and is probably stretched to the limit about now. He is concerned and is reading all sorts of things into this problem and is now hesitant to try to contact admissions at all for fear of ...as he says "getting a red sticker on my file." One of his concerns is that he has applied to EA early and feels that he should have heard something by now...indicating that there may be a problem
So as the parent of a great kid who has been immersed in this for months, I ask you all for advice . He has a solid (great even) plan B, but the CGA and becoming a CG officer is BY FAR his focus with the others being distant seconds.
