So I've submitted all my SAT scores and the highest scores I earned were a 680 M and a 620 CR. I've always thought this was a lot better than my ACT scores which I took once in April. The scores for ACT were 30 Math and 39 English. I did not send in my ACT scores but now I'm starting to think that my ACT scores may have not been so bad and I might want to send them in anyway. Can I still send in my scores now? If so, would it be a good idea or are my SAT scores still better than the ACT scores?

Google for a SAT/ACT comparion table to see how your different scores compare. This process is too important for you to guess.

The scores for ACT were 30 Math and 39 English.

Maximum score on the ACT for any section or the composite score is 36 so you need to re-check your English score. Use the ACT online site.

Send EVERY ACT and SAT score to the Academy. You still have time. Go to the ACT website and request that your ACT scores be sent. There is a fee but it is definitely worth it. Send all of the scores because USAFA superscores. That is they use the highest score on each subsection of each exam even if they are from different testing dates. There is no penalty for sending in low exam scores. Only the highest scores from either your SAT or ACT will be used for your WCS in your application. The Academy will convert your ACT the equivalent SAT score and use the highest of the two.

39's a mighty high english score....

but you seem to be at or very close to the averages (assuming you meant 29 english  )

And i think it was sometime this month, but I believe it meant they would not accept any tests TAKEN after a certain date, they'll still accept scores til the deadline

...i think

Oops. Sorry, my bad. I did mean a 29.

Thanks for the responses. Regarding the last date to take tests, in the candidate kit it says that the academy will consider all test scores taken prior to January 31. However in the ACT test dates, they still list the February 11th one. Am I right in assuming that they won't consider the scores if the test is taken then?

It means what it means. Exams have to be taken before January 31.
