NASS Application

I was reading up on the application for NASS, and it requires SAT, ACT, and PSAT scores--if you've taken them. I've received my SAT scores from testing day Dec. 3, I've received my ACT scores from testing day Dec. 10, but I haven't received my PSAT scores from testing day Oct. 12.

My question is:

- Do apply at midnight for NASS without my PSAT scores and just say I haven't received my scores in the comments section?

OR

- Do I wait to apply for NASS when I have my PSAT scores?

My gut tells me to apply at midnight. As I've thought about the various steps in applying to the Naval Academy, I've personally regarded applying early as a positive thing due to the fact that USNA does rolling admissions.

I appreciate any help.
 
I would apply at midnight. In my opinion, SAT/ACT scores are better than PSAT scores because they actually count. The PSAT scores are there to predict what kind of SAT scores you will potentially have so if you put the SAT scores, there's no need to have the predicting scores. Personally, I did way better on the real SAT than the PSAT.
 
I'm with you Chris. Apply and add them when you receive them. btw, you might want to inquire with your school counselors. Many of them receive these reports, and I believe that 12 Oct test date has been reported to schools.

I will post my act scores (34 English, 33 math)
BUT
I am not posting my psat scores M 770, CR 540, Writing 670.

my CR scores was not good enough for me to feel comfortable posting it.

Why dont you just post your best ones? and if your PSAT comes in better than change it?

From the USNA web site: Superior high school performance to include: GPA, class standing, and/or strong PSAT, SAT, or ACT results;

In other words, you have to submit one of the tests not all three. Go with your best score. Same is try with the school application.
 
I had a SAT score I was uncomfortable with too, so I was wondering if I would be able to update my NASS application to reflect new scores, so I can apply at midnight and than take the test again ASAP. Or should I just go with my PSAT, which was better?
 
Keep in mind I'm in the same but so I have no knowledge and this is just an opinion.

I would post only the higher ONE. I know they only look at the highest so what would be the benefit of posting a lower set? Then when you do better (not if but when- PMA) then post the new scores.

Again- I have less then no factual knowledge.
 
Thanks SA2017. If I use my PSAT score, would I be able to choose my best scores from it, because I took it twice?
 
It's been almost a year, but I don't think that you can change your application once you submit it. I suppose you might be able to if you talk to someone at the Academy but there is no guarantee. In my opinion, don't stress over it. I only had the PSAT so I only had one option, but just but down your best scores and work on the rest of the application. It was a great experience, but if you really want to go to the Academy, this will not make it or break it.
