I'm a High school sophmore, so i've got time to do more things to increase my chance of being accepted, any advice is greatly appreciated.

I'm part of the Varsity football team
GPA: 3.8 cumulative
Involved in the school choir
Weightlifting and Running are what I do in my free time
I plan on volunteering at my congressman's office in the near future

Alright, first, try and establish yourself in football as well as you can. Go for Team Captain slots. Im assuming if your good enough to play on varsity as a sophomore, you have a candid opportunity to be a team captain. Try and also get involved in sports in the winter-spring (track, wrestling, baseball? etc.). Depending on how good you are in your choir, try to get an all-state audition or do something that makes you stand out. I would also recommend that you take a baseline of your PLAN/PSAT scores and see what areas you need to prep in, and begin to prep in those areas. Is your GPA on a 4.0 scale? Do you take AP's? Look on the West Point website and see what all they look for and see how well you would fit the criteria for an "admissible" candidate.
