When stating our gpa and act and sat scores on the forms for sls, do we just say what our score was or do we need our school to send gpa and class rank, and act/sat to send our scores?

For SLS, it's all self reported. When the portal for the class fully opens, everything will need to be verified.

HELP!

I just completed my CQ for the class of 2017, but I cannot find the link to the SLS application - HELP!

thanks

Same problem!

I was so excited to finally be able to open a file and have access to that famous portal! But now I can't find where to apply to SLS - am I missing something, or is it possible that they simply haven't updated the page for the new class yet?

The only reason I want to know right this instant is because I know it's important to get things in early, and I'm determined to be in the lead! :shake:

Anyway, thanks for your help!

I'm getting frustrated because it's 12:48 EST here, I got up in the middle of the night to apply early to SLS and I don't know if it's even up! ugh

I dont think you did anything wrong. Either we can't find the link or it hasnt been posted. I emailed the SLS staff at USMA with the questions - waiting to hear back before I fall asleep.

i'm disappointed the link wasn't put up yet, now I'm going to have to check the WP SLS website every hour at school haha

It's Open!

I've been checking periodically and it opened for me at 12:40, submitted 12:43  (Germany Time)

got my SLS application submitted around 7:15 AM EST, I think that was just minutes after the link was posted.
anyone know how long we can expect to wait before acceptances are sent out?

I am also having troubles viewing the USMA admissions page. darn

And did everyone receive a confirmation email regarding their submitted SLS application and program choices? I heard that I was supposed to but havent - 8 hours later...

Having trouble with the admissions website

It won't respond

Wouldn't take the form submission

To answer two questions:

Yes, it only took me about three minutes as well. I think it's just meant to be a brief snapshot of the cadets competing for admission.

And yes, I did get a confirmation email which began with, "Thank you very much for your interest in West Point and the Summer Leaders Seminar. Attached is a copy of the workshops you submitted in order of preference." If you didn't you might want to email admissions; maybe the form didn't get submitted somehow. :frown:

Hey EmerandFalchion - how long did it take for you to receive your email conforming you're selections/that you've applied to SLS. Been two hours so far for me, no email confirming. But I'm not that worried right now, probably just being processed or something.

Thanks,
TheChicagoan

Still Waiting

Don't worry, I submitted mine at 7:15 Eastern Time this morning and haven't yet received a confirmation email. I tried to log back into the SLS application but it said I had already submitted my application, so I guess it knows, but is just taking a little while to process everything. I'll give it a few days and email them of I don't get it by Friday.

Confirmation Email

To anyone that hasn't gotten a confirmation email yet, there is another (unofficial) way to see if you submitted your form. Go to the USMA site, go to the Summer Program tab, and click "Apply to SLS." Put in either your Candidate Login or your Social Security number and DOB, and it will bring you to a page. Mine said I have no more forms to complete, which means it was submitted. I'm not sure what it would say if it didn't submit, but that is another way to check!
