Hey! The admissions committee starts to meet again today!

My candidate portal was also updated to a different format. Hopefully decisions will start rolling out for those of us who only recently earned congressional noms.

Just thought I'd let everyone know.
Good luck everyone!

Noticed the new format.

Was hoping there was a bigger reason for this on our DS's profile...LOL.

Having worked in the IT field for a number of years I can assure you the new format is not in any way related to the appointment process.

Yes, I apologize if I made it appear as if the two had any relation. The committee meets today again for the first time since mid-december, and the portal was also updated; however, the portal change was an irrelevant observation.

You should know the ability to read is not limited to IT guys...

All we said was that the format changed.

At first glance, anticipation gets the best of you and you hope it means something-UNTIL you read the page and realize it is the same info in a slightly different format...

Nobody said it was any indication of an appointment or a change in the process..

Well at the very least, we all know the files are being updated. This is my sons second time through the process. Last year he we 3Q, 3 noms, green check marks across the board yet nothing ever changed on the portal page! At least with the format changes (Medical Status update, Home page update...) I feel confident that his file is current! A false sense of security, maybe, but I'm happy to see some type of movement. I would hazard a guess that the amount of appointments will begin to ramp up now! Best of luck to all!

I talked to one of the Regional Admissions officers today. Many offers have been made already - mostly for people with Presidential and Service-Conected nominations.
The congressional nominations are mostly in but a few are still coming. Those who already have the principle nominations from their congressmen and the ones with LOA's either have an offer already or will get their offer within the next month - if they are already 3Qd.
Many congressmen nominate 10 people for their vacancy and let WP decide on who get the principle nomination. Those decisions are being worked now and will take another 30 days or so to complete.
Most of the remaining appointments will happen in the Feb-March time-frame. Normally by early April the class is almost full. However, as people with offers turn them down (about 80-85% acceptance rate) more offers will be made from the NWL. Last year a small handful of offers were made as late as late May or early June - but only a very small number.
Only about the top quarter of the people on the NWL will get offers so make sure your file is complete and that ALL of the positive infomation about you in in your record. After that - all you can do is wait. Good luck to all.
My son in the Class of 2015 will be glad to see you as that will mean he is no longer a Plebe.
