My online status changed near the end of December (I think it was the 20th or around there) from “You application has been received and is being processed….” To
“The NSTC Selection/Placement Office has received your application.

Missing Items
All required items have been processed.

Selection Status
No decision has been made on your application. “

Now I sent in my application in late May, however the officer interview did not happen until October but that is a whole different story. My concern here is this, when my status updated it stated my SAT/ACT score equivalent. I took the ACT and scored a 33 in the math and a 31 in the reading so I expected the math sat conversion to come out to mid 700s and the reading to be low 700s. To my surprise the conversion gave me a 650 in the math and a 550 in the reading. I was slightly upset by this because if you look at the percentile I scored in with the act and the equivalent percentile with the sat it should have had a 750 in math and a 700 in reading. (im basing this off of these two websites http://www.collegeboard.com/prod_downloads/highered/ra/sat/SATPercentileRanks.pdf and http://www.actstudent.org/scores/norms1.html )
After seeing this I called the recruiting office that I did my interview at and they said they would look into it further and get back with me. Once January 10th rolled around I called back to see if they had found anything, they said no and they would continue to figure things out. It is now the 19th and my status still says that my reading is 550 and my math is 650 and im beginning to get alittle up set over this because it does not reflect my real score.
All in all, im not to sure what to do at this point, I already emailed pnsc_nrotc.scholarship@navy.mil with no response from them so if there is any advice or if this has happened to someone else before any input would be much appreciated.

I don'tknow if this will only lead to the numbers you already called, but try here: http://www.nrotc.navy.mil/locate_coordinator.aspx

I would say call and ask to stay on the phone until its resolved don't let them off the hook until you're satisfied. It may be they use some different conversion but based on my own web research you didn't get the equivalent scores you should have gotten.

An alternative might be to try 1-800-NAV-ROTC. You may get bounced around but stick with it. And do so daily if you need to.

My sons ACT also calculated to lower SAT #'s...I wonder what the formula is?

OP -- check back in approx. Jan of 2011, and look at posts on this Board from P-Flying17. In one post she gave her direct line. Call her and see if she can help you. She works in the NSTC/NETC.

This works for AROTC, don't know if for NROTC... but contact the PMS at your #1 choice school to see if they or the Recruiting Officer at that school can work with NETC on your behalf.

Good job...however, always pretend that voicemail doesn't exist. Yes, leave a voicemail, but follow up later today or tomorrow assuming the person rarely checks their voicemail.
