Good evening,

I am Colin Kerr- currently applying to United States Military Academy at West Point. I am also considering ROTC programs on the East Coast and in New York, my homestate. I am a solid student, and working diligently to improve my class rank with higher grades to reflect my mastery of material. Snowshoeing (hard without snow this winter) is my current athletic sport, but I plan on running a 9:20 two mile and 9:25 steeplechase time this spring for outdoor track. I'll miss state qualifiers if I am accepted into SLS the next few days, so there will be no state meet for me this year.:frown:

Take care,

Colin Kerr

9.20 minute 2 miles.... YIKES!!!

Might want to tone down the "mastery" language, although you've certainly mastered my best ever run time.

Forgive my ignorance - in what period of time are the state qualifiers? Because I believe there will be 3 SLS weeks this year - are you sure you can't do both?

Best of luck!

I'd choose the state qualifiers if I were you....programs like AIM, SLS, etc. are good because they let you see what the Academy is like. Something like a state qualifier will help with your actual application. Also, don't give out your name on a forum like this...
