BB throw: 83 ft
Shuttle Run: 8.8 sec
Pull-ups: 18
Situps: 73
Pushups: 69
Mile: 6:18

I know there's always room for improvement, but what do you think overall?

Thanks!

Great scores. If you could improve on anything it'd be situps and the mile. I wish I had your pull-ups and pushups.

My scores for comparison:
BB throw: 69 ft
Shuttle Run: 8.8 sec
Pull-ups: 3
Situps: 82
Pushups: 40
Mile: 6:34

Wish I had your sit-up score! Thanks man--you've got great scores too.

Do you have any idea which elements of the fitness test are weighted the most?
I would assume the mile and maybe pushups...?

I'd say my scores are mediocre, but thanks. I'm a runner in general (cross country and track), and my fastest mile time is 5:48, but I'll be honest, I felt like throwing up while running the mile during the CFA.

I'm not sure what's weighted the most, but I'd guess the pushups and mile like you mentioned. I think the others have minimum requirements (not listed anywhere) that they will want met, and then anything above that will only improve your score. The CFA only accounts for 10% of your WCS, so my guess is that they just want to make sure you're athletic enough to handle BCT and the rigors of the programs.

Sadly, I don't feel that my pullups are good enough to meet their standards, but my ALO told me I couldn't retake the test, so that's what I got.

If it helps, the USAFA may request that you take it again. They did for me. But I think that only happens if the rest of your application is competitive and that's the only area significantly under average(but let's keep in mind that even after re-taking it, I was still TWE'd before getting my FF stuff). I got mine up to passing scores because my first time was TERRIBLE. Here's a glance.

1st CFA(December 2010)
BBall Throw: 52
FAH: 9 seconds
Pushups: 16
Situps: 79
Shuttle Run: 11.4
Mile Run: 7:28

2nd CFA(late January 2011)
BBall Throw: 61
FAH: 13
Pushups: 29
Situps: 89
Shuttle Run: 10.9
Mile Run: 7:38

Even though my mile was a tad slower, it was an improvement. Now, after being at prep school... But if they feel there's a reason you should retake it, they'll let you know. But for now, train, train, train! :thumb:

I certainly hope that if my scores are under par I would be offered a chance to retake it. It would give me great hope knowing that they feel I'm competitive enough to be rewarded an extra try as opposed to being told "Sorry, you're disqualified."

Time will tell. It's a long wait until March/April.

Congrats on your improvement, and keep up the great work!

Just to give you guys a reference, I've passed with these scores:
B-ball toss - 66ft
pullups - 9
Shuttle run - 7.8secs
situps - 70
pushups - 73
mile run - 7:13

Ya'll are fine. Good Luck!
