I'll be shadowing a Cadet for a day at USAFA in February and I have a few questions about it.

1) What should I wear? I was thinking somewhat formal (khakis and buttondown) but I honestly have no idea.
2) Should I bring anything to give to the Cadet I shadow or is that not allowed?
3) What year would I shadow? I was thinking a Plebe but I am not sure.

Thank you and any and all responses are welcome:thumb:

1) Khakis & button-down is fine. Probably a jacket of some sort cause it'll be cold
2) Candy... always makes us feel better
3) Depends on who the volunteers are. USAFA doesn't have "Plebes..." We have "doolies" and "4 digs"

Thank you for the quick response, and I apologize about the error.

Khakis and a polo shirt would be fine. February being cold and Colorado being windy, dress warm!

Honestly, when I was there I wore a wife beater, Jordan flip flops, and sweat pants.

Come on man, think about it. Who will see you and what type of impression do you want to make? Dress accordingly.

That said, a suit is not necessary. Khakis and a nice shirt will do just fine.

Khakis and a nice shirt as stated above, but I have never had anyone bring me anything. It isn't necessary at all, but if you really want to I don't see why not. You will most likely shadow a 3 degree of doolie, but it just depends on who is scheduled and volunteered for that week. Personally, if i were you, and I had a choice, I would want a 3 degree just because they have a better perspective about the academy, and they will know more about it. Hope this helps.
