My DS has to have an echocardiogram to determine what kind of heart murmur he has. Is there any advantage or disadvantage to going to a private doctor instead of a DoDMERB contracted doctor or a military installation? His primary care physician has already granted a referral because she wants to know what is going on as well, so we wouldn't have to pay out of pocket for it.

Hi Goarmymom:

It's entirely up to you. The advantage using a contracted provider (from Concorde) is that we track the receipt and expedition of the examination and ensure compliance with the requested remedial from DoDMERB. And, of course, Concorde will pay for the approved testing if you utilize our provider. This means you don't even have to provide your insurance card, nor is there a co-pay. The only cost to you is your time/transportation.

Feel free to contact me for more information. My e-mail is joseph.papp@concorde2000.com.

Cheers,
Joe
