This just in from Pensacola...

(I thought I'd repost this here from the "NROTC Offers!!!..(not yet)" thread and give it its own slot, I hope that's ok...)

This just in...

...from NSTC, Pensacola, in an e-mail response to DS's request to update his file (7th semester transcript, NHS selection, and college acceptance letters) -"Sorry but our website closed 31 Jan for any updates or changes, but we will add your college acceptance letters to your file." So Blacklab...very good to have had those SAT scores submitted a few weeks ago! BTW, in that phone conversation one week ago, on February 1, where Petty Officer XXX revealed the facts surrounding the 3 NROTC Interview Mystery, he also emphasized that "until a decision is made, you can still add updates to your file such as your 7th semester transcript, any awards, college acceptance letters, etc. as they come along." So DS did just that - Well, at least they took the college acceptance letters...the sit back and nothing to be done now part of the process has officially commenced...

DS requested High School Guidance office send the transcript fax or e-mail to Pensacola as soon as transcripts became available (which, as it turns out, was too late for the January 31 deadline- transcripts didn't become available until February 1). Guidance Office confirmed to DS that they did send the transcript - via fax - to (850) 452-2486 - the fax number DS provided to them, the one listed on the NROTC status page. As for the NHS award notification and college acceptance letters, DS sent those via e-mail to the address on the NROTC status page - PNSC_NROTC.scholarship@navy.mil. In addition, in that same e-mail, he sent a scanned copy of his transcript (the Guidance office has been rather unpredictable with following through on requests like that throughout the process, so he's had to do LOTS of follow-up with them along the way).
