Are Cadets at military Foundation schools allowed to wear their uniforms off campus, such as traveling home or on the weekends? I.E) New Mexico Military Intstitute, Valley Forge Military Academy, ETC. Any help would be great. Thanks!

For NMMI, when you are a RAT (first semester college), you are REQUIRED to travel (fly, drive) home in uniform. During the weekends, we are always required to be in uniform off-post (off campus). During the week as well. The only time we are allowed to wear civvies is if we are on furlough (going to be away from campus overnight) or at home on leave. Once you are a private or above (typically by second semester) you are allowed to leave in civvies for spring break, furlough, etc. Hope that answers your question.

Thats exactly what I was looking for! Thank you very much, I am a lacrosse recruit for MMA and am most likely looking at NMMI for prep school. I cannot wait to attend!

One correction to post #2. You are required to "sign out" in uniform. Some cadets change into "civies" after they sign out, some stay in uniform.

I encourage cadets to stay in uniform. Although you are not on active duty, some airlines will treat you a little better during the flight. If they ask, you tell them you are a college ROTC cadet.
