Congratulations to all the new Cadets!
Norwich University Corps of Cadets
3 March 2012, at 2300 hours, the Class of 2015 was recognized by the regimental commander and the upperclassmen as members of the Corps of Cadets. Congratulations Freshman! Welcome to the Corps! The title "Cadet" should not be taken lightly, and only worn with pride.

Congrats to all the rooks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

C'mon Patentesq- they aren't rooks anymore- it should be congratulations to all of the 4th Class Cadets.

At Norwich is there a final set of events to mark their passage as there is at VMI with Breakout? If so what did they have to do?

Congrats new cadets!

@Bruno, it is my understanding that there is a series of events, I can't remember exactly what they were. After the events, they all get marched off to Plumley armory, where the current cadets are asked if the new cadets are ready to be recognized, usually replied by a NO! and they are asked to do push ups until they receive a yes, then their shoulder boards get swapped out, and they officially become 4th class cadets.<-Got this info from a student blog (Great recruiting tool by Norwich IMO, I think other senior military schools should adopt it)

Congrats Cadets, This and the improving weather always makes for a positive end to the school year at Norwich.

Whoops! You're absolutely correct, bruno!

Here are some photos from Norwich recognition from a few years ago. http://www.norwich.edu/about/news/2003/recognition.html It's one of many opportunities for the new cadets to practice their "front leaning rest" position.

Congrats to the new Cadets, great night to see you get recognized. (personally I wanted to see more pushups, but those rings drown out my voice)
