Can any recent graduate or current midshipman tell me what the current engineering courses offered at Kings point are.

Out of date

Wow.

I can not explain why/how the "Dual License" program is still up there. At this point even the "Shopper Program" with a Deck Officer License and Engineering QMED is gone. Here is a link to the (122 page) 2011-2012 catalog. Even that might be questionable:

I would recommend calling admissions to ask about any specific programs in that catalog if you are interested in them.

Engineering Program

USMMA2016 - The engineering program has three majors, 1 - straight engineers, Systems Engineers (design oriented ), and Marine Engineering and Shipyard Management engineers. Systems and MESM are accredited by the accreditation board of engineering technology (ABET) and consequently have a more rigorous program than that of the straight engineers. That said the ABET majors need to have a minimum GPA plebe year to qualify. The ABET programs also require a capstone project be completed senior year. The MESM student also are required to work in a shipyard internship for a couple of months during their second sailing period, many consider this to be a big plus because the second sailing is 8 months long. Dual and Shopper programs have been discontinued.
