My son received a nomination from our MOC in Texas but the letter just says congratulations you're a nominee. Not anything about Principal or Ranking of any type. On the AFA admissions portal it just states who he got the nomination from, again nothing noting principal or ranking.

Does anyone know what Texas MOC policies are about ranking? Is it gouche to contact the office and ask where he was ranked? Guess it really doesn't matter since it is what it is and our knowing won't change anything, but am curious.

Thanks.

If it doesn't state anything, chances are its an unranked slate, meaning the MOC just turned in the 10 names of the nominees and is leaving it to the academy to decide who gets charged to that MOC (based on WCS). If you want to call the MOC's office and talk to the academy coordinator, you could ask if he/she submitted a ranked or unranked slate if you feel uncomfortable asking specifically about your son.

Better yet, if you have any questions have your son call. :thumb:
