I can choose either AP calc, or AP psych, but not both. I am a junior and I am currently in Alg 2 (a year behind most of my friends) and I am going for the IB diploma. So, in order to get the diploma I need to be in IB math, which is pre-calc. I will be taking that next year for sure, but I also wanted to get into Calculus somehow. I spoke with my counselor and I can take pre-calc over the summer at a junior college, then take AP calc my senior year, but then I will still have to sit in IB math regardless in order to receive the diploma. So i would be doubling up on my math classes. OR I could just take IB math next year and do AP psych instead.
From what I have read, West Point likes 4 years of science, but they are also very math heavy. What would West Point prefer? Seeing that I doubled up on math to get into calculus, or a fourth year of science?
