NROTC offer off the waitlist

Just a quick question: I was offered a spot off the waitlist of an NROTC school....I accepted the offer within a day. Should I expect to recieve a conformation from NROTC (not the specific unit) that my scholarship has been switched, or will I not recieve a conformation? If I will recieve a conformation, how will it come?

I am a bit confused so bare with me.

Are you saying that you were waitlisted at a certain college and have just been selected off that waitlist.

Is the school you were just accepted too the same school the NROTC Scholarship was awardered too or was the scholarship awarded to a different school.

If the scholarship was awarded to a different school other then the one your were just admitted, have you applied for a transfer of the scholarship to the new school.

If you have not applied for a transfer they will not automatically transfer the scholarship.

Sorry for all the questions, just trying to understand your situation better.

How would NROTC know you were admitted to the school out of the waitlist?

Per above, you need to contact P-Flying17, or whomever you're dealing with at NETC to update them and formally request approval to use your NROTC scholarship at the new school... unless of course the NROTC scholarship WAS to the new school in the first place, which I hope is the case.

I was awarded a 4-year navy option scholarship to a school I didn't get in to. I requested to transefer my scholarship to a different school. This different school had a wait list for the unit. I recieved an email from NROTC saying there was a position off of the wait list at this school, and if I accept, my scholarship would be transferred there. I accepted the NROTC wait-list scholarship transfer offer. Will I recieve a conformation that my scholarship has been officially switched?

I asked for a confirmation from them, and the replied the following day. It also changed the school on the NROTC scholarship status page (Where you originally logged in to check if you recieved the scholarship).

Ok, that makes sense.

Yes you should receive a confirmation, that being said I would make contact with NROTC and the new school just to follow up and make sure nothing falls through the cracks.

Try checking your status after 48 hours. Granted my DS's was not for a transfer/waitlist, but the acceptance email that he received said to only send in one acceptance questionnaire and that the status would be updated within 48 hours by NETC. We checked, and it was updated with the information that the scholarship had been accepted. The school information was there as well.
