Hey guys as of April 16 I have signed with the academy and am very excited. Just wondering if anyone on here is a current or future member of the track team. I'd like to get to know some of you guys on the team. Im excited to compete with you all, Coach Lott seems to imply the team is gonna be solid for the next few years!

hiii ... im swimmer not a track runner but i signed on the same day as you. Its pretty legit right? anyways, good luck ill see you in july, my name is cody. I ran the mile once freshman year though, went like a 530, i get shinsplints too easy. Hope to see you there!!!
 
dwire55, my DS (2015) told me last night that he was talking with you about the team during the Open House. Glad you're going to be part of the team. My DD just accepted her appointment and will be part of the 2016 team as well. Congratulations!
 
Hi! I just got my appointment monday! I'll be running cross country and track and I'm super excited!
 
I was also recruited to run track at the Merchant Marine Academy. I'm a sprinter. I'll be at the prep school first though.
 
Hey Everyone,
I am a member of the track and field team and I just want to let you know that you guys will be part of a great team. I have been on the team before Coach Lott came along and I can say that I have seen how much he has put into the team and how far we have come since he's been here. You are going to have a great time next year.

Hi dwire55- (and all of you new 2016's that have posted on this thread)

Congratulations on becoming a member of the class of 2016!
I want to give all of you newbys (2016's) the link to your STUDENT Facebook page. It IS a closed group. You will have to ask to join, and then once your name is confirmed, you will be accepted to this student group. The student fb group will be your link to meet your future classmates- ask questions, get to know teammates, etc. (I attached the link below). At this point, now that you are accepted into the class of 2016, you might want to watch what is said on this Forum group. (not that anyone is saying anything bad, cause you are not!... but last year 2015 DS realized some kids pretending to be medical set backs on the Forum were reaching out to meet him, only to realize it was all a hoax and they were current older USMMA students being weird/ wanting to get info on any newby kid they saw on the Forum. DS decided to zip his lips on the Forum at that time.) Your student facebook group will be a safer place to chat with your peers, ask ?'s, share info. The Forum is still great- lots of vaulable info here... but I just wanted to share the info on your student fb group.
