How do I know if my waiver is granted?

Hi,

I was awarded an Army ROTC scholarship but the DoDMERB website says I was disqualified and under the ROTC heading it says pending waiver submission/review. I heard back from the USAFA and USMA directly that I was not given a waiver (I didn't finish the apps) but I haven't heard from Cadet Command. I haven't received any correspondence from DoDMERB since January 13. Here is a link to what my Status looks like:

Have I already been denied my waiver without my knowledge or am I still waiting? Neither DoDMERB nor ROTC seems to have an answer.

Thanks.

DoDMERB only DQ's, the actual branch will decide if a waiver will be allowed.

You may want to try talking to your AROTC det. to see if they can work their own magic through the AROTC HQ for verification on the status of the waiver.

Yeah I contacted my battalion 2 months ago and they said they'd try to get it going from their end, but still I've heard nothing. I contacted Cadet Command directly and they told me I'd hear the decision directly from DoDMERB-which doesn't appear to be the case from what you just told me.

It seems what we have here is a failure to communicate. Oh well, I'll keep waiting on the waiver and proceed with preparation as if I am guaranteed the scholarship. Stress fractures from 11 months ago hardly seems like something that would keep me out of the army.

Thanks for your help Pima.

And if anyone has anything to add or clarify for me, feel free of course.

It should show up on your DoDMERB page.
Waiver declined or waiver granted and the date.

Thank you buff81. That reassures me a little bit to know there is still hope.
