Hello everyone

If I gain an appointment to USNA in the near future, what would I have to do to get a SEAL slot? I hear there are a lot of interviews etc. But how are the 4 years organized for someone who wants to become a SEAL officer?
I am aware that getting a slot does not guarantee that you will become one (as I know you have to go through the pipeline). Thanks.

While there are no guarantees, there are several opportunities for a midshipman who truly is interested in EARNING one of the twenty or so SEAL officer slots that are available each year. Scan back through this forum's archives and you will discover several discussions of this very topic. Best wishes, and be prepared to work diligently and hard to attain your goal.

That's certainly a bold choice of username.

The SEALs carefully screen midshipmen to ensure they can use search functions. I think this question gets asked weekly. "Initiative" is a thing guys.

Just fyi, it generally isnt kosher to have a name like that unless youve earned it (meaning you actually are in devgru). Just having a trident in your avatar can get you banned from sealswcc.com... Which you should check out if you really are interested in the teams, just use a more appropriate name over there

Thank you for the heads up. I haven't been to the website before. I have talked to special operators before (SEALs) and have heard their stories, and I understand why they put so much emphasis on the earning part - as it is a very big deal. I do not mean to offend anyone in the brotherhood by having such a name and avatar, I just aspire to become an operator one day, that is all. Again, sorry if I offended anyone.
