I got accepted into session 3, but I'm a little nervous since I'm more of a quiet kind. I've been told that as long as you yell as loudly as possible you should be fine, since they're looking for effort. Right?

I don't know the answer to your question, but I love your signature line. :shake:

In my own experience in the Navy, it's not volume but confidence. Learn your required knowledge as soon as you can, and you can sound off with the best of them!

My daughter attended the third session on AIM last year. After listening to my daughter I would highly recommend you try to get into good physical shape. The AIM program is physically demanding. The AIM program trys to replicate Swab summer which is good because you need to understand what it will be like. My daughter found the AIM program challenging but rewarding that she survived it; not all the kids stay the whole week. There was very little "free" time until the last night. Try your best and you will do fine.

A question on that; Was there any swimming involved during AIM?

She had to bring a bathing suit but they did not swim. I think they went out on a sailboat one time which she enjoyed a lot.

Don't think of your personality/confidence level as a barrier to performing well at AIM. Instead, think of the things you will have to do at AIM as an opportunity to step out of your comfort zone and improve in those areas.
