Movies based on American history are particularly instructive to those who are too busy to read or who skipped class to attend to other priorities. Some of this summer's offerings:

"Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter"
"Calvin Coolidge: Sufi Dervish"
"George Washington: Assistant Dental Hygienist"

That was funny considering the first was a real movie.

The first time I saw the trailor for "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter" everyone in the theater burst into laughter when they showed the title. I can't imgine this film breaking any box office records. Might need to rent it at Redbox just for laughs, I'm sure it will be there soon.

The title sounds like it would make a great Saturday Night Live skit. Look what a success Coneheads was.

Here's hoping Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter is a comedy, even if (specially if?) it's an unintentional one.

Since Norwich Dad has lowered the bar of this thread by inserting a Youtube clip, I must respond by adding dirt to the mire. (apologies to metaphor mavens)

The following is a sad documentary of what happens when football players are forced to attend an anatomy class rather than focus on their profession:

Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter
I like the way the writer finishes his review

"Although it has one good line, toward the end. “Abe!” the nagging Mary Todd shouts. “We’re going to be late for the theater!” And off the Great Emancipator rides for his tragic date with destiny.

But hey, it could be worse. He could have been going to see this."

Lol, I am dying to see the look on my history teacher's face if/when he hears about the whole Abe Lincoln Vampire slayer movie. He's the kind of guy who is all about the truth in history and nothing but the truth... :shake:
