The 2014 swabs on the bulkhead in the picture (look at those motivated socks!) will be your cadre, just as you will be cadre for the Class of 2018 in two short years.

Where can we find photos from R-day and Swab summer? Just wondering if there is a website that I may be unaware of that I should be monitoring.

In all seriousness though, the Academy Alumni Association hosts a parents forum where people share R-Day pictures. Also the USCG Flickr site should have some shots of the ceremony at least by the end of the week.

There is a USCGA Families Facebook page called (brilliantly) U.S. Coast Guard Academy Families.

Dark clouds, thunderstorms, rain showers in New London for R-Day today - but it IS the Coast Guard after all, no weather worries.

For any parents who might happen to check this for some reason...

Swearing in Ceremony is now at FAIR weather parade, on the parade field.
