If a thread was already started on this question, I apologize..

This is my first time applying to the Merchant Marine Academy and I'm kinda of confused with some of the application procedures (previously applied to Air Force and Naval Academy)

My first question, how does an applicant find out who their admission officer is? Second, is there a interview for the Merchant Marine Academy? (like the ones for the other Service Academies).

I filled out Part I online, had my school mail in Part III, and I will be finishing Part II soon, but I will be a college freshman, so I have to wait until January until my first semester transcripts are released before my file can be reviewed.

Thanks

In answer to your first question the following link on the USMMA website gets you to the map of admissions officers - it's buried pretty well so that's probably why you didn't find it.

According to your profile here you would be applying from Pennsylvania so your Admissions Officers would be:

As to you other questions I'd call the admissions office as some things vary as do the timelines for folks in your situation, applying from college. That said to avoid frustration I'd wait a week or two because of the short break between graduation and reporting for Indoc (which) occurs next week, many on staff at KP are and have been on vacation and will return next week after the 4th of July Holiday. Then you have the catch-up and activity associated with making sure everything gets off the right foot for the reporting class of 2016 that is the priority. Things usually settle down to a normal pace by the last week of July/first week of August. Also you should be able to find or be referred to a good, active admissions field rep near you by your admissions officer and if you are like most you will find the admissions office staff very responsive and helpful.

Good Luck.
