Hello to anyone, my son is currently at Maxwell AfB in Alabama attending Field Training on his journey to commission as an officer upon graduating from college. I have been combing mil.com looking for answers upon answers as to what all the processes are, because so many friends and family have only gone in as enlisted. So my son is taking the road less traveled. I'm proud but others don't even think this is Bootcamp, wai till he does that. I will look for the appropriate place to ask my real question. This is just my Howdy

Welcome!

Whatever your question is this site will help you. Your DS is obviously in AFROTC, ROTC has its own forums here.

Thank you :) I'm eagerly awaiting for DS to return. He is due back into Fresno, Ca late tomorrow night. I saw a congrats to Max 3 on a FaceBook page. I hope this means they're done ;)

Yes it means they are over. Get ready for him to walk in, dump his bags, grab the 1st thing he can eat and go to sleep for @12 hrs!

Thanks guys/gals. Yup we have been dumped on, looks like something went off in the house. Close quarters, Lmbo... He isn't actually over sleeping at all, kinda staying in routine, and still getting up at about same time as when he was in AL. We're in Cali, which means I have to get up a little sooner then I normally would only cause we hit the sack very late...

It's cool having him back. So while we make adjustments to schedules, needs, (sleep, heat, eats), and maintenance (transportation, college prep, visits of relatives ( grandparents, sis, etc) he is unwinding by playing some video games with his dad. And go hang out with some buddies from HS. All in all, a mostly positive experience.
