Reapplying question

I will be attending college this Fall and will be living on campus. Should I wait to fill out the form and use my dorm address? If not my mother has moved to Michigan and I'm with my father in Illinois for the summer. Does it matter which one I would use if so? Mostly wondering because of the nomination process (Wish I could just go back to the congressman that I originally got a nomination from!)

Which address--mom's or dad's--will be your legal address? Where will you be registered to vote, what state/address will you use to file income taxes, assuming you've had a job, etc etc? Most college students don't use their college dorm as their legal address, its usually their address back at home. You'll apply for a nomination in the district/state of your legal address.

Ah, okay. Looks like I'll be using my dad's address. Also, will the nominators be aware that I recieved a nomination the previous year? Hoping to help my chances however I can! :rolleyes:
 
I personally know quite a lot of cadets who got in here on their 2nd try.
I'm sure the nominators would know about your previous application.

That is definitely nice to hear! I'm at a point where I'm not sure if the Academy will be what I want come appointment time (assuming I were to get one). Might just follow through with ROTC if I'm enjoying where I'm at, hard to pass up that sort of opportunity though!
 
I am ONE of the folks that got in on their SECOND try!!!

I have TWE's from:

1. USAFA
2. USMA
3. USNA
4. USCGA
5. USMMA

These are all dated May 1978.

I also have really nice certificates in nice holders from:

1. USAFA Class of 1983
2. USMA Class of 1983
3. USNA Class of 1983
4. USMMA Class of 1983
5. ALTERNATE!!! :eek: USCGA Class of 1983 (They're TOUGH!!!)

It can be done!!!

Wow, that is awesome! When reapplying as a college student is there anything that more emphasis should be put on or is it the same as applying right from highschool?
