Phone Call!

We just got off an hour and a half call with our DS. All is well. 
Me too! Spent the last hour and a half with son on Facetime. It was so good to see and hear from him. He is keeping a really positive attitude. Had a great day at field day and at the rodeo. He said a pulled pork sandwich never tasted so good as it did at the rodeo yesterday =)
It's great having the technology today to see them on Skype - and to see the photos on webguy. We spoke for an hour on Skype this morning and have been texting back and forth all morning. The parents of the basic cadets from the old days (ha - pre-2000) really did have it tougher. I can say it is nice to be able to at least see a few glimpses of their lives occasionally.

Ha! 2010 had pics from webguy but no phone, so there were phone banks set up in A hall the next day saw a pic from webguy when he was talking to us. No FB to chat or ask questions only on webguy forum. Skype and Facetime nope nope not for us..... Look at 2013 class had swine flu qurantine etc; Parents have it made this year shoot the fire even got betterby I Day and I ain't taking anything away from those before us by any means.

It was so awesome to speak to our son for 1 1/2 hours today from his sponsor's house. He sounded so great and said he has wonderful roommates and is grateful that he is there! He did say that the hardest part is the constant exhaustion. He said they go to bed exhausted and they awaken exhausted... But, he was excited about Jacks Valley because he think it looks like more fun than BCT I. Hope that this is true!
