I currently take Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Krav Maga, and by the time I graduate high school it will be for 3 years. Looking at old posts I see that its hard to count this as 'athletics', but it may work as a spin if you were doing it in contest also. Would belts be a way to show the legitimacy, or would proof of competition and success be the best way to count this in any way, or will it even help me?
Also, I am interested in languages, and I am studying Spanish, Italian, Swahili (Which I have 2 weeks of immersion in Africa on mission trips) and in the future Russian, German and French. Could I take language proficiency tests to demonstrate my ability, or will this help at all in the application?
I strive to do activities in high school that I enjoy and that will enhance my life.and I understand the requirements for West Point (athletics, leadership, athletics). Do you think these will help me, or is it just an 'additional activity' to put down?
Thanks
