I just recently received a letter from U.S. Army Cadet Command thanking me for applying for a four-year Army ROTC scholarship. I have barely even started my application and I merely looked through the parts of it to know what information I would need. The letter shows me my list of activities, but there is nothing there because I never completed my application. The letter also tells me that I need to complete a physical test, do an interview, and submit my high school transript and SAT/ACT scores. I never completed and submitted my application, but Cadet Command is telling me that I did.

I have already emailed a person from Cadet Command notifying them of the situation. Is there anything else I should do in the meantime to correct the situation? I will be out of town on vacation for a week but I will still have my computer with me with access to the Internet.

Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Not to worry. As soon as you saved the first part of the application, CC picks up the information and lets you know what is missing from your file (not just the online application) before your application will be boarded for consideration.

Your status won't change (i.e. CC will take no further action either affirmative or negative) unless YOU complete the items listed.

Enjoy your vacation and continue to work on the online part (your activities, essay, school list, etc.). You can continue to work on these items until your application is ready for boarding (i.e. complete including the interview, Presidential Physical Fitness Test, SAT/ACT scores and transcript received). You can address those items (except the interview) when you get home.

Feel free to ask more questions...

Thanks for the help. Now I can relax a little more knowing that the letter is just an update regarding my application.
